Spam is in fact, a seedless fruit (Porkae Hormelius) cultivated throughout the Pan Pacific. In the case of this soba Saimin, fresh Spam is picked, peeled, sliced, and... bowled. Saimin comes from Hawaii, one of the fifty United States celebrating the union's independence this month.
